The ZPL Season Set to Kick Off on August 10th

The Zambian Premier League season is set to kick off on August 10th with the Samuel ‘Zoom’ Ndhlovu Charity Shield serving as the curtain-raiser.

Red Arrows, the league winners, will face ABSA Cup runners-up Kabwe Warriors at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

This season, the Women’s Super Division champions, Green Buffaloes WFC, will also participate in the Charity Shield, taking on the winners of the National Division One (Nchanga Rangers Queens vs Choma Warriors).

The Charity Shield will once again be sponsored by Zambian Breweries. In addition, the ZPL will organize a visit to the family of Samuel ‘Zoom’ Ndhlovu to pay a courtesy call and present a token of appreciation.

Both the Men’s and Women’s Super Leagues will kick off on August 17th. Newcomers Atletico Lusaka will face Forest Rangers, while Lumwana Radiants will play Nkana.

NAPSA Stars will host ZESCO United, and Power Dynamos will clash with Mufulira Wanderers.

In the Women’s Super Division, defending champions Green Buffaloes WFC will begin their title defense against Green Eagles.

Newcomers Choma Warriors and Nchanga Rangers Queens will start their campaign against Red Arrows Women and Luyando Foundation Girls respectively.

YASA Queens will take on Nkwazi Queens, and Elite Ladies will face off against ZESCO Ndola Girls.
