Zanaco Reject Napsa Stars’ K150,000 Bid for Congolese Goalkeeper
Zanaco has declined an offer from Napsa Stars for goalkeeper Charles Lawu.
Lawu is not part of Zanaco’s pre-season squad on the Copperbelt.
Despite listing Lawu for transfer, the bankers believe Napsa’s offer does not meet their valuation.
“The club has not approved the deal. Napsa has offered around K150,000, but that’s below the figure the executive is looking for,” a ZamFoot Crew insider said.
“Charles is really disappointed. He felt he gave his best for Zanaco, especially in his first two seasons,” the insider added.
“He is sad about the situation.”
Lawu’s representatives are exploring several options.
The 30-year-old goalkeeper joined Zanaco in 2021 on an initial two-year deal.
He competed for the no.1 spot against Lameck Siame until last season when he spent most of his time on the bench.
He only made two appearances and conceded two goals.
