Kabwe Warriors Defender Returns to Face Zesco United’s Confederation Cup Opponents

Veteran left back Ocean Mushure is set to return to Dynamos, five years after departing the Harare giants for the Zambian Premier League.

Affectionately known as “The Grinder” in Zambia, Mushure joined Lusaka Dynamos in 2019, making a name for himself with his impressive performances.

After the collapse of Lusaka Dynamos, he moved to Kabwe Warriors, where he helped the Numba Mumamba-coached side reach the 2023/24 Absa Cup final, eventually losing to the double winners Red Arrows.

Mushure will be remembered for his pinpoint crosses and deadly set pieces. Deemed too old by Caps United last month, the 39-year-old has decided to return to DemBare, the club he left in 2019.

Mushure is expected to reclaim the captain’s armband at Dynamos, who will face Zesco United in the CAF Confederations Cup. The first leg is set to take place at Johannesburg’s Orlando Stadium.
