Zambia U-17 Women Set for DRC Test in World Cup Qualifier

The Zambia Under-17 Women’s National Team has kicked off high-intensity preparations for a crucial FIFA World Cup qualifier.

The third-round, first-leg showdown against the Democratic Republic of Congo is set for May 24, 2026, at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

Head coach Carol Kanyemba and her technical bench are currently running drills with the squad in Lusaka. The team will later shift base to Ndola for the final phase of their training camp.

Zambia will host DRC on home soil on May 24 before flying out to Kinshasa for the return leg just five days later, on May 29.

The Zambia U-17 side secured a tight 1–0 victory in a disciplined and promising performance.
