No CAF Suspension for Senegal Coach

Recent reports stating that the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has suspended Senegal’s coach Pape Thiaw are inaccurate.

This follows Senegal’s triumph in the 2025 AFCON final, a victory that remains untarnished by any formal disciplinary measures against its coach.

CAF has indeed initiated a routine review of the conduct exhibited by officials and players during the championship match.

However, this procedural assessment has not resulted in any sanctions against Thiaw, who retains his position following his team’s success.
