Power Finish Season In Style With Win Over Wanderers
Power Dynamos signed off their title-winning campaign in dominant fashion with a commanding 2-0 victory over Mufulira Wanderers, giving their supporters the perfect ending to a remarkable season.
The champions wasted no time stamping their authority on the match as Eddy Ankobo found the back of the net just four minutes into the contest, calmly finishing after being picked out by a superb delivery from Evans Ogbonda. Power continued to control proceedings throughout the opening half, with attacking threats Chifundo Mphasi and Linos Makwaza constantly troubling the Wanderers defense, although the hosts carried only a one-goal advantage into the break.
After halftime, Power Dynamos maintained their intensity and eventually sealed the result in the 73rd minute when Dominic Chanda reacted quickest from close range after Ankobo’s initial effort came back off the post. The victory capped off an outstanding league season for Aba Yellow, who finished top of the table with 78 points from 34 matches, registering 23 wins, nine draws, and just two defeats. The Kitwe giants scored 53 goals, conceded only 18, and recorded an impressive 20 clean sheets during their championship run.

Speaking after the final whistle, Second Assistant Coach Songwe Chalwe praised the players for finishing the season strongly and rewarding the fans with a memorable performance.
