Paul Mupila Joins Mathkat United FC & Makes Transitional League Debut

Center-Back Paul Mupila has joined MathKat United FC and made his debut for the club in the ongoing 2026 ZPL Men’s National Division Transitional League.

Mupila, who previously featured for More Young Family Soccer Academy, made the move this year to take the next step in his football career, joining MathKat United as a centre-back.

He made his first appearance for the team in their opening Transitional League fixture against Lumwana Radiants.

The match ended in a tightly contested 2-2 draw, giving MathKat a point as they began their campaign in the transitional competition.

Based in Mansa District in Luapula Province, MathKat United are back in the national league after a 10-year absence, marking an important return for the club as they compete in the 2026 season.

Reflecting on his move, Mupila referenced Zechariah 4:10, a Bible verse that encourages believers not to despise small beginnings, noting that the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.
