Zambia Futsal Team Arrives in Rabat Ahead of AFCON 2026

The Zambia National Futsal Team has set up camp in Rabat, Morocco, as preparations continue for the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Futsal tournament.

The team held an afternoon training session at the Sonarges Sports Hall in Rabat, with the technical bench continuing to fine-tune the squad ahead of the continental competition.

The training session forms part of Zambia’s preparations as the team works on its readiness for the tournament, which will bring together some of Africa’s leading futsal nations. The technical staff will be looking to ensure the players are prepared for the demands of the competition.

FAZ Futsal Vice Chairperson Tarek Meta has also joined the team in camp and attended the training session, offering his presence alongside the players as they prepare for the challenge ahead.

Zambia will be aiming to make a strong impression at the continental showpiece, with the team continuing its work in Morocco as the tournament approaches.

With the squad now training in Rabat, preparations are gathering pace as the Copper-funded futsal side focuses on representing the country at AFCON Futsal 2026.
