Kola makes a triumphant return to ZANACO for the third time
ZANACO, a Zambia Super League side, has officially announced the return of striker Rodger Kola, who has signed a one-year deal with the club. This marks Kola’s third stint with the Bankers, with his most recent spell lasting from 2018 to 2021.
At 34 years old, Kola has been without a club since his contract with Tanzanian side Azam FC expired last year. ZANACO FC expressed their delight at Kola’s return, highlighting his previous departure to Azam FC in 2021.
Kola’s comeback is the fifth signing for ZANACO FC in the mid-season transfer window. He joins Zimbabwean midfielder Tafadzwa Rusike, who is also making a return to the club, as well as midfielder Robert Saizi from Malawi, Cameroonian striker Vandelin Eloundou, and midfielder Saviour Phiri.
Following his signing, Kola has been included in the squad for today’s match against Konkola Blades in Chillilabombwe. His career has seen him play for various clubs, including F.C. Ashdod, Gent, Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona, Veria, Hapoel Ra’anana, Golden Arrows, Hapoel Bnei Lod, and Hapoel Rishon LeZion.
