WSL Update: ZESCO Ndola Girls and Zanaco Secure Victories, Elite and Eagles Share Points

ZESCO Ndola Girls extended their unbeaten streak, while Zanaco Ladies secured their third consecutive victory in the FAZ Women’s Super Division, which reached its 24th week of action with four featured matches.

Zegalicious surged ahead with a five-point lead after a convincing 4-1 triumph over Chipata, with Avell Chitundu, Marjory Mulenga, Illes Phiri, and Happy Pinto each finding the net. Sharon Sakala scored the lone goal for Chipata Girls.

Zesco’s win elevated them to 60 points from 23 matches, five points clear of defending champions Green Buffaloes Women’s Football Club, who have two games in hand.

In another match, Zanaco Ladies secured a comfortable 3-0 win against Kamfisa Police Blue Eagles, with Justina Zulu bagging a brace and Chanda Katebe adding another goal.

At NASDEC, Green Eagles and Elite Ladies settled for a goalless draw, while Queens Sports Academy, National Assembly, and Royal Girls shared the spoils in their respective matches.

The upcoming fixtures include YASA Queens hosting Red Arrows, Luyando Foundation Girls facing Indeni Roses, and Kabwe Celtic taking on Green Buffaloes.
