Chipolopolo Are Back From The International Friendly Matches
Zambia National Team (Chipolopolo Boys) are back in the country from Senegal after competing in three friendly matches, which they played against Senegal, Sudan & Benin.
The boys have returned home from their three-nation FIFA Window engagements after having lost 3-1 to Senegal before drawing 2-2 with Benin.
In their final FIFA international friendly the Chipolopolo overcame the Falcons of Jediane 1-0 through an Amity Shamende goal.
Zambia also played a practice match with Sudan that ended 3-2 in favour of the host nation.
The largely local assemblage arrived aboard Ethiopian Airlines to mark the end of the team’s FIFA window engagements.
Chipolopolo coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic was using the three international friendly matches to check on possible inclusions for the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers that kick off in September with an away tie to Mauritania before hosting Tunisia.
Zambia is in Group B alongside Tunisia, Mauritania and Equatorial Guinea.
