Fridah Munsanje, the rising star of Barts Queens, is captivating fans in the ongoing 2023/24 FAZ Women’s League Southern Province Division One. At just 14 years of age, she’s making a significant impact, scoring six goals in three matches, which included a remarkable hattrick on the opening day against Zimba Rising Stars.

Fridah’s impressive performance in the Southern Provincial League builds on her previous season’s success with Barts Queens in the Choma District Women’s League. Her exceptional dribbling skills, speed on the wings, and a keen eye for goal have been drawing attention.

Following her hattrick, Fridah continued her goal-scoring streak with a brace against Pemba Queens and the winning goal in the recent match against Choma Cabinet Stars. She now boasts six goals in as many games, putting her in contention for the golden boot, with competition from players like Carol Nsondo of Musports, who has five goals in two games.

Barts Queens, under the guidance of Coach Austin Kandando, are in excellent form, leading the league table with nine points after a flawless start to the season. They are two points ahead of second-placed FC MUZA, who are level on points with Randers Queens, separated only by goal difference.

Coach Kandando is thrilled with the team’s amazing start, despite having a young squad. He commends his players for their character, which complements his short passing style of play. He expressed his determination to continue building the team and is confident in the squad’s character, determination, and confidence as they strive to compete until the season’s end
