Zambia's Chipolopolo Boys Gears Up for COSAFA Cup Opener With Malawi

In preparation for their Hollywoodbets COSAFA Cup title defense, Zambia’s national football team, Chipolopolo, is diligently honing their skills. Tomorrow, they are set to kick off their campaign against the Flames of Malawi in a Group B clash at the King Zwelitini Stadium in Durban.

Having secured victory in their last two regional titles in 2019 and 2022, Zambia aims to make history by clinching an unprecedented seventh COSAFA Cup title at their fortunate hunting ground, Durban.

Under the watchful guidance of Coach Moses Sichone, the team held their final afternoon training session at the Escombe Football Club center. Head coach Avram Grant is closely observing the proceedings, recognizing the tournament’s significance as preparation for the African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier in the coming month-end.

Zambia’s journey in Group B begins on July 6 against the Flames of Malawi, followed by a match against Comoros three days later. Their last group stage game is scheduled against Seychelles on July 11 at the Princess Stadium.

The nation eagerly anticipates witnessing their team’s prowess on the field as they set their sights on retaining the COSAFA Cup trophy once again.
