The MTN Super League is gearing up for Week 16 action, featuring seven exciting matches taking place across the country this afternoon.
The highlight of the day is the clash between the in-form Green Eagles and Red Arrows at Nkoloma Stadium. Alex Namazaba’s team has been on an impressive unbeaten streak, winning their last seven games. Leading goalscorer Freddy Michael has been in exceptional form, finding the net in each of the Eagles’ last four matches.
In contrast, Red Arrows, with two victories in their last five games, are looking to turn the tables after their last victory over the Choma-based outfit in 2021.
Over at Woodlands Stadium, the resurgent NAPSA Stars will host Konkola Blades in what promises to be another thrilling encounter. The Pensioners have regained momentum with back-to-back wins after a six-game winless streak. On the flip side, Konkola Blades have suffered only one loss in their last seven games and are coming off an impressive 2-0 win against Mighty Mufulira Wanderers. NAPSA Stars hold a historical advantage, having not lost to Blades since 2012.
At Dola Hill, Mwenya Chipepo and Masauso Tembo will go head-to-head as Forest Rangers welcome Green Buffaloes. Forest Rangers are unbeaten in their last three games, while Buffaloes are aiming to break a four-game winless streak.
Prison Leopards will clash with Nkwazi at the Godfrey Ucar Chitalu Stadium. Leopards seek redemption after consecutive defeats, while Oswald Mutapa aims to bounce back from a recent loss to his younger brother.
In other fixtures, Kansanshi Dynamos will visit Nakambala Stadium to face FC MUZA, while Trident FC, in search of their first win of the season, will take on nine-time champions ZESCO United.
