ZNBC Secures Broadcasting Rights For 2026 FIFA World Cup

The Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation –ZNBC- has secured the broadcast rights for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

This paves the way for football fans across the country to watch the tournament live on ZNBC TV.

ZNBC Head of Corporate Affairs YVETTE CHANDA has announced that live coverage of the global football showpiece will begin on Thursday, June 11, on ZNBC TV1.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup is being hosted by the United States of America, Canada and Mexico and will feature some of the world’s top football talent competing for the sport’s biggest prize.

CHANDA says the acquisition of the broadcasting rights forms part of the national broadcaster’s commitment to providing Zambians with access to world-class sporting content.

She said in a statement that the decision is also aimed at inspiring young athletes and football enthusiasts by giving them an opportunity to follow the world’s best players and teams in action.

CHANDA said businesses and marketing executives can take advantage of a range of sponsorship packages designed to offer value and maximise brand visibility throughout the World Cup coverage.

The FIFA World Cup is regarded as one of the most watched sporting events globally and is expected to attract significant audiences throughout the month-long tournament.
