Zambia and Cameroon Draw in Pre-AFCON Friendly Match
Zambia and Cameroon played to a 1-1 draw in a friendly match this Tuesday, held at Jeddah’s King Abdullah Sports City in Saudi Arabia.
Patson Daka, the forward from Leicester City Football Club, continued to showcase his impressive form for both club and country.
The 25-year-old gave the 2012 African Champions a lead in the 11th minute, but Darlin Yongwa Ngameni leveled for the Indomitable Lions of Yaounde nine minutes later.
Zambia’s coach, Avram Grant, opted for Lawrence Mulenga in goal, with Tandi Mwape, Stopilla Sunzu, Frankie Musonda, and Zephaniah Phiri forming the back four.
Kelvin Kapumbu returned to the side after an injury layoff, joining Golden Mafweta and Rally Bwalya in midfield. Upfront, Daka was accompanied by Fashion Sakala and Edward Chilufya.
After the break, Grant made several changes to the lineup.
Looking ahead, Zambia is anticipated to relocate to Ivory Coast by the end of the week in preparation for their Group F opening match against DR Congo.
