Revamped Zambia to Camp for a Week Before COSAFA Defense
A locally assembled Zambia national team will begin their training camp this Sunday in Lusaka, in preparation for the 2024 Cosafa Cup in South Africa.
With the tournament commencing on June 27, the Chipolopolo technical bench will have approximately seven days to prepare the team.
Zambia is considered one of the favorites to win the tournament.
Sporting Lusaka defender Sekanji Siame has impressed while on loan at Konkola Blades. According to the ZamFoot Crew, several young players have been included in the Cosafa Cup squad.
Notable among these young talents are Kelvin Mwanza from Muza and Majapa Mumba from Green Buffaloes, who are expected to receive call-ups.
David Simukonda from Zesco United has also impressed, alongside Sekanji Siame from Konkola Blades.
As record seven-time winners, Zambia has the opportunity to secure their third consecutive title. They are placed in Group B, alongside Comoros, Zimbabwe, and Kenya.
