Nigeria Appoint Jose Peseiro as Super Eagles’ Head Coach

The Nigeria Football Federation has appointed former Venezuela’s coach, Jose Peseiro,as the head coach of the Super Eagles following the sack of Gernot Rohr last month.

The board released a statement to confirm the appointment of Peseiro, on Wednesday, December 29th,2021. According to the statement, interim manager, Augustine Eguavoen will be in charge of the team to the African Cup of Nations that will be hosted in Cameroon, while Peseiro will play the role of an observer.

The Portuguese’s record, while he was coach of Venezuela, is not one that Nigerians will wish. He managed 10 games, won just a game, drew 3 and Lost 6.
