Nchanga Rangers Part Ways With Bwembya & Chikondi

Nchanga Rangers have confirmed the exit of defender Sharpy Chikondi, who is set to return to his parent club, Green Eagles.

The towering center-back’s departure marks the beginning of a squad overhaul for the 1998 Zambian champions.

Joining Chikondi on the way out are former Kafue Celtic duo Justin Daka and Kelvin Tembo. Meanwhile, goalkeepers Flobby Mashakalati and Benson Mwale will also be moving on to new challenges next season.

In addition, the club has released experienced defender Taonga Bwembya (formerly of Mufulira Wanderers and Zanaco), along with Bright Kafula Mukuka and Gift Sikaonga, who are now free agents.

After an inconsistent campaign, Nchanga Rangers are expected to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season. Veteran coach George Lwandamina, who successfully guided them away from relegation last term, will be looking to rebuild a competitive side.
