NAPSA Stars Eye Beston Chambeshi as Potential Manager
Zambia Super League side NAPSA Stars have reportedly approached former Zambia U20 National Team head coach Beston Chambeshi.
Chambeshi was recently seen in Lusaka observing the National Division One playoffs.
It is understood that he held discussions with NAPSA Stars’ management regarding a potential move to the club.
Sources suggest that Chambeshi met with NAPSA Stars’ vice-chairman Cephas Sinyangwe, a lifelong Nkana fan, and CEO Ponga Liwewe.
The renowned coach, who led Zambia to victory in the 2017 U20 AFCON on home soil, has previously managed several Zambia Super League teams, including Nkana, Kansanshi Dynamos, and Power Dynamos.
Despite being under contract with National Division One side Konkola Blades, Chambeshi is reportedly considering the offer from NAPSA Stars.
Perry Mutapa is the current head coach of NAPSA Stars, having guided the team through a challenging season where they narrowly avoided relegation.
Should NAPSA Stars part ways with Mutapa, he is expected to attract interest from other clubs, having previously coached teams like Lusaka Dynamos, Forest Rangers, and Power Dynamos.
Mutapa is highly regarded as one of the most promising young coaches in Zambia
