Ministry of Youth, Sport, and Arts Concludes Ndola Tour with Engagement on the Copperbelt

The Ministry of Youth, Sport, and Arts has wrapped up its tour in Ndola, which included an engagement session involving various District Advisory Committee (DSAC) members on the Copperbelt. The meeting, conducted in collaboration with the National Sports Council of Zambia, aimed to enhance collaboration and address key issues in sports development.

Raphael Mulenga, the Acting National Sports Council General Secretary, underscored the importance of involving stakeholders such as sports administrators, federations, and DSAC members in driving improvements in sports development. He emphasized the need for effective communication and information sharing, particularly with positive changes like the Ministry’s decentralization through the Department of Sports.

Victor Kabeleka, Chairman for DSAC Ndola, highlighted the importance of establishing DSAC offices in other districts. This move is seen as crucial for the coordination of various sports disciplines and strengthening the overall operations of the National Sports Council of Zambia.

The meeting covered essential topics such as Governance in Sports, Sports Marketing, and the distribution of Coaching Framework books to the participants. The engagement in Ndola is part of an ongoing effort that also included a similar exercise in Lusaka, reflecting the Ministry’s commitment to fostering development and collaboration in sports across the country.
