Copper Queens’ striker, Rachel Kundananji, secures the title of “Breakthrough Player of the Season” at the prestigious MARCA Women’s Sports Awards.
This recognition is a testament to her outstanding performance during the previous season in the Spanish Liga F championship with Madrid CFF.
Kundananji undeniably emerged as one of the season’s most remarkable talents in the F League.
Playing for Madrid CFF, she concluded the season with an impressive 25 goals, making her the second-highest scorer in the league, just trailing Spain and Levante forward Alba Maria Redondo Ferrer, who scored 27 goals.
Kundananji’s scoring prowess was evident as she found the back of the net against 13 out of the 15 teams she encountered, including Alhama (3), Levante Las Planas (3), Betis (3), Athletic Club (3), Real Sociedad (2), Barcelona (2), Costa Adeje Tenerife (2), Alavés (2), Villarreal, Levante, Sporting de Huelva, Real Madrid, and Valencia.
Remarkably, Kundananji only failed to score against Atlético de Madrid and Sevilla. Her breakthrough achievement underscores her exceptional talent in the world of women’s football.
