Graduation Ceremony Celebrates 18 Students Completing Advanced Sports Management Course
In a significant milestone for sports management education in Zambia, eighteen students have successfully graduated with Diplomas in Advanced Sports Management Course (ASMC), a program organized by the National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCZ) in collaboration with the International Olympic Committee through Olympic Solidarity.
The graduation ceremony, which was graced by the presence of Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts Minister Hon. Elvis Nkandu, MP, marked the culmination of the first cohort of the ASMC. The event took place at the prestigious Olympics Youth Development Center (OYDC) Zambia.
One of the notable graduates is Arthur Mwale, who holds the position of Human Resources and Administration Manager. Mwale’s achievement underscores the diverse professional backgrounds of the students who participated in the course.
The ASMC was designed to provide administrators and sports managers with advanced knowledge and skills in sports management, aiming to elevate the standard of sports administration in Zambia. The comprehensive curriculum covered six key topics, including strategic management, human resources management, financial management, marketing management, and event planning and management.
The successful completion of the ASMC by these eighteen students represents a significant step forward in enhancing the professionalism and competence of sports administrators and managers in Zambia. The knowledge and skills acquired through this program are expected to contribute to the continued growth and development of the sports sector in the country.
