Grace Chanda’s Madrid CFF Stint Ends with 3-0 Loss to Levante UD

Copper Queens midfielder Grace Chanda concluded her tenure with Madrid CFF in a 3-0 defeat against Levante UD during a Spanish Liga F round 30 match. Chanda, who recently secured a two-year contract with Orlando Pride, began the match on the bench and entered as a substitute in the 84th minute. Despite her efforts, the late substitution could not influence the outcome, as Madrid CFF conceded all three goals in the second half.

Chanda’s departure from Madrid CFF marks the end of her spell with the club, as she prepares to join Orlando Pride in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL). At Orlando Pride, she will reunite with fellow Zambian and Copper Queens captain Barbra Banda, becoming the third Zambian to compete in the NWSL.

Chanda’s move to Orlando Pride is anticipated to strengthen the team’s midfield options, bringing her international experience and skills to the American league. Her signing signifies an exciting new chapter in her career and highlights the growing presence of Zambian talent in international women’s soccer.
