England Knock Out Norway To Advance To FIFA World Cup 2026 Semi-Finals

England booked their place in the FIFA World Cup 2026 semi-finals after defeating Norway 2-1 in a hard-fought quarter-final encounter at Miami Stadium.

The match delivered an entertaining contest, with both sides displaying attacking ambition and tactical discipline as they battled for a place in the last four.

Norway made the brighter start and took the lead, causing England several problems on the counterattack and putting their defensive organisation under pressure during the opening stages.

England, however, responded positively by growing into the game and taking greater control of possession. Their sustained pressure in the attacking third eventually paid off as they scored twice to overturn the deficit and take the lead.

Norway pushed forward in the closing stages in search of an equaliser, but England remained composed defensively, successfully managing the game’s final moments to secure a 2-1 victory.

The result sends England into the FIFA World Cup 2026 semi-finals, while Norway’s impressive tournament run comes to an end at the quarter-final stage.
