Clement Mulenga poised to depart Kabwe Warriors in January.
Midfield maestro Clement ‘Jakuzi’ Mulenga is poised to depart Kabwe Warriors in the upcoming January transfer window, according to reliable sources from the ZamFoot Crew.
The ZamFoot Crew has learned that several Super League teams based in Lusaka have expressed keen interest in acquiring the talented midfielder’s services.
Mulenga has faced challenges securing playing time under the management of Numba Mumamba, and this appears to be a driving factor behind his decision to seek a move away from Kabwe.
Insiders revealed, “He is on the verge of departing. It seems Numba Mumamba doesn’t have a concrete plan for him, and he is eager to play a more active role in the team. Hence, a move away from the Godfrey Ucar Chitalu Stadium seems to be the only viable option.”
Having joined Kabwe Warriors in July 2022, Mulenga made the switch after an impressive stint with Indeni. The defensive midfielder showcased stellar performances during the 2021/2022 Zambia Super League season, making significant contributions by scoring crucial goals for Indeni.
Mulenga played a pivotal role for the Oilo Men, tallying five goals, providing six assists, and playing a key role in the creation of numerous other scoring opportunities throughout the season.
