The Little Princesses dominated Angola with an impressive 8-0 triumph in the ongoing 2023 African Schools Championship | COSAFA Qualifiers held in Zimbabwe.
Affectionately known as Kanono and a beloved figure among Misisi fans, Christine contributed two goals, while the player of the match, Presida Katongo, and Naomi Banda each secured hat tricks for the young Copper Princesses.
In another match later in the afternoon, Zambia defeated Madagascar 3-0.
Despite the commendable performance, Coach Grace Mwango’s team faced a setback, missing out on the finals due to forfeiting two games declared as walkovers, attributed to their late arrival on match day one.
Zambia concluded their run in Group B, securing third place with 6 points, trailing Namibia by one point for the second spot and falling six points behind the undefeated finalists and leaders, South Africa, who maintained a perfect record, scoring 28 goals without conceding.
