FAZ Receives CAF Approval for CAF B License Coaching Course

In a significant stride towards advancing coach development, the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has received the green light from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to organize a CAF B license coaching course. This announcement marks a crucial step in enhancing the skill set of local and international coaches.

FAZ General Secretary, Reuben Kamanga, revealed that the upcoming CAF B license course is set to accommodate a total of 30 candidates, hailing from both local and international backgrounds. Those interested in participating are expected to submit their applications by August 15.

Kamanga underscored the importance of this coaching program as a reflection of FAZ’s unwavering commitment to fostering continuous coach development. This initiative seeks to bolster the technical prowess of coaches, contributing to the overall growth and excellence of football in Zambia.

The course is meticulously designed to provide comprehensive training in two distinct phases. The first phase, scheduled from August 28 to September 9, will be a residential program focusing on module 1. This immersive experience will be followed by a mandatory internship phase, taking place from September 10 to October 1.

The culmination of the program is the final phase, covering module 2 and assessments, set to transpire from October 2 to 25. This multi-phased approach ensures a holistic learning experience that equips coaches with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

Local participants will be required to pay K17,000, which encompasses accommodation, tuition, meals, transport, and teaching materials. International candidates, upon securing their place, will need to pay K30,000.

Applicants must hold the requisite CAF C license to be eligible for the CAF B license coaching course. This prerequisite ensures that participants already possess a foundational understanding of coaching principles before embarking on this advanced training opportunity.

The FAZ’s proactive pursuit of coach development serves as a testament to the organization’s dedication to raising the standards of football within Zambia. By nurturing the growth and expertise of coaches, the FAZ continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Zambian football and contributing to the broader global football community.
