Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts is Looking For Sponsorship For Women Football Teams

Wilson Mulinda-The Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts says it is looking to engage the corporate world and other entities to support the Women’s national football teams with sponsorship deals.

Acting Director of Sports, THANDEKA says the women national teams have been performing well in tournaments adding that their success can be doubled if they have maximum support.

SOKO says Government has also put in place deliberate policies that allow any well wisher to contribute to sports development regardless of discipline.

She told ZMNews in an interview that Government has also embarked on having safe rooms for women athletes at all sports infrastructure to allow them to participate in sports at any given time.

Meanwhile, Pro Action Sports Director HAMZA ADAMS said his company targets to give adequate sponsorship to the women national football team as part of its corporate social responsibility.
