Green Buffaloes Were beaten 3-2 by Buildcon At Home
Green Buffaloes slipped to a surprise home loss when they were beaten by 3-2 by 10-man Buildcon in a five-goal thriller in the MTN Super League on Saturday.
It is a continuation of their poor recent form that has seen Buffaloes’ once commanding lead whittled away in recent weeks, having now taken just two points from the last 12 available.
They were behind to a Gift Lukwesa goal after five minutes, but in-form Martin Njobvu equalized to leave the scored level at halftime.
However, two goals in two minutes at the start of the second period put Buildcon in command as Tapson Kaseba and Ugandan midfielder Kizito Keziron gave them a 3-1 advantage.
Paul Simpemba pulled a goal back for Buffaloes, while Buildcon were then reduced to 10 men when Monday Bwalya was sent off with 17 minutes remaining, but the home side could not force an equalizer.
