Patson Daka Scored His First Goal For Leicester City
Former Red Bull Salzburg striker Patson Daka put impressive performance yesterday, were he scored a second goal for Leicester City to make it 2-2 against QPR.
The summer arrival scored his first goal in a Leicester City shirt after coming in as a second half substitute.
City went into the game looking to score their first goal of pre-season after a 0-0 draw with Burton Albion and a 1-0 loss against Wycombe Wanderers in their first two matches.
The trend carried on when City went in at the break 1-0 down thanks to Charlie Austin’s opener on the stroke of half-time.
Unlike the first two matches of pre-season, only one change was made by Brendan Rodgers at half-time as the players continue to build up their fitness.
Instead the raft of changes came on 60 minutes, with striker Daka among the players to make their way onto the pitch. And the Zambian had an impact on the rest of the game.
With City 2-0 down, the 22-year-old set up Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall for the first goal of pre-season.
Daka then quickly found himself on the scoresheet after latching onto Marc Albrighton’s ball and finish well into the bottom corner.
After City again found themselves behind, Daka’s pace again caused problems for the QPR backline with the striker winning a penalty that allowed Kelechi Iheanacho to equalise with just a matter of minutes left to play.
Daka arrived from Red Bull Salzburg this summer to excitement from City fans, and his latest impact has only increased that excitement to see what he can do in the Premier League.
