CAF Unveils Revised Dates for 2025 AFCON in Morocco
The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) will be held in Morocco from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026, according to Confederation of African Football (CAF) President Patrice Motsepe.
The tournament will be hosted by Morocco, with the draw for the 2025 AFCON taking place on July 4, 2024, at the Supersport Studios in Johannesburg, South Africa.
“CAF is committed to protecting and advancing the interests of African players playing in clubs in Europe and worldwide,” said Motsepe.
“We will continue to make significant progress in developing and ensuring that African football is globally competitive and amongst the best in the world.”
The qualifiers are scheduled for September, October, and November 2024. Ivory Coast, the defending champions, won the tournament on home soil earlier this year.
