Kings Kangwa Declares Full Commitment and Teamwork Ahead of AFCON Tournament

Red Star Belgrade and Chipolopolo Boys midfielder, Kings Kangwa, has voiced a strong commitment to giving his all and working as a cohesive team as Zambia prepares for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast. Kangwa, who previously played for Arsenal Tula, expressed the collective determination of the young squad during a training session at Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.

In his statement, Kangwa emphasized the team’s readiness to compete, stating, “We are going to give everything, we are going to work as a team.” The midfielder, along with many others in the current national team, is set to experience his first AFCON, and he exuded confidence in Avram Grant’s squad, describing them as a team with good players who are ready for the challenge.

The optimism within the team is fueled by their impressive qualifying campaign, where a youthful lineup demonstrated their hunger for success after missing out on three consecutive AFCON tournaments. Now, their focus is on making a significant impact in Ivory Coast.

Kangwa stressed the importance of unity within the team, emphasizing the need for players to stick together and support each other, both in good and challenging times. He acknowledged the excitement surrounding the tournament, stating, “Everyone is excited to play these types of games. Everyone’s target is to play well, and my target is to play well, to give everything and help the team.”

Zambia is placed in Group F alongside Morocco, Tanzania, and the Democratic Republic of Congo in the AFCON tournament. The collective determination and positive spirit within the squad highlight their aspirations for success on the continental stage.
