Rivals on Alert: Red Devils Prepare to Face Chipolopolo
Congo, Zambia’s opponent in the FIFA World Cup qualifier, has heightened its preparations for the upcoming match scheduled for this Friday.
The Red Devils are set to arrive in Ndola on Thursday, making the journey from Brazaville. This comes in the wake of the team’s inability to qualify for the next year’s AFCON in Ivory Coast, leading to the dismissal of coach Paul Put by FECOFOOT.
Interim head coach Isaac Ngata has assembled a squad consisting of 22 foreign-based players, with Mongondza Wolfrigon as the lone representative from the local scene. The team’s attacking force will be spearheaded by Greece-based striker Thievy Biffouma, while Ganvoula Silvered from Swiss side Young Boys is also included in the squad.
