NAPSA Stars and Mutondo Stars pulled off surprising victories against Nkwazi and Kabwe Warriors, respectively, as Konkola Blades and Green Eagles emerged triumphant over Mufulira Wanderers and Prison Leopards.
In the fifteenth week of MTN Super League action, the Edwin Imboela Stadium hosted a thrilling doubleheader on Saturday afternoon.
The first match featured a showdown between brothers Perry and Oswald Mutapa, with Nkwazi hosting NAPSA Stars. Perry’s NAPSA Stars secured a hard-fought 2-0 win with goals from Zikiru Adams and Luka Banda.
The second match at the same venue witnessed Green Buffaloes needing a late equalizer from Golden Mashata to salvage a point against FC MUZA.
The Ndola derby between Green Buffaloes and FC MUZA concluded in a 1-1 draw, with Lazarus Kambole leveling the score after Benson Kolala’s goal.
Meanwhile, defending champions Power Dynamos played to a goalless draw against the winless Trident FC. In Chililabombwe, Konkola Blades secured a hard-fought 2-0 victory over Mufulira Wanderers, courtesy of goals from Victor Mubanga and Francis Mubanga.
In Choma, Lameck Banda’s Prison Leopards suffered a significant defeat at the hands of Alex Namazaba’s Green Eagles. Freddy Michael’s brace, along with goals from Hosea Silwimba and Amity Shamende, contributed to a 4-0 victory for Green Eagles, propelling them to 5th place on the league table.
Kabwe Warriors’ struggles continued as they succumbed to a 2-0 defeat against Mutondo Stars. Goals from Dalitso Lungu and Titus Chansa secured crucial points for Evergreen at the Godfrey Ucar Chitalu Stadium.
