Zesco United Faced A 2-1 Home Defeat To Red Arrows in the MTN Super League on Wednesday

Zesco United failed to close the gap on leaders Green Buffaloes as they slipped to a 2-1 home defeat to in-form Red Arrows in the MTN Super League on Wednesday.

The match was a catch-up fixture for both sides, but it was Arrows who made ground on Buffaloes as they recorded a fifth straight win to climb above Zesco and into third.

They are now four points off top spot with a game in hand, and have managed to maneuver themselves into the title race.

Two goals in three minutes midway through the first half had them in front, with Zesco’s Thabani Kamusoko putting the ball through his own net to put the side ahead.

Ricky Banda added another shortly afterwards to put the visitors in control, but Zesco pulled a goal back when Kelvin Kampamba scored just before the hour-mark.
