ZANACO Ladies Unveil Star Signings Pauline Zulu and Comfort Selemani

ZANACO Ladies Football Club has officially unveiled Pauline Chisomo Zulu and Comfort Selemani as their newest additions ahead of the second round of the season. The duo, signed from Elite Ladies in a historic K300,000 deal in November, have penned three-year contracts with the Bankers Ladies.

This transfer marks one of the most significant in the history of Zambian women’s football, signaling ZANACO Ladies’ ambition to compete at the highest level.

A Star-Studded Duo

Comfort Selemani, a prominent figure in Zambian women’s football, brings a wealth of experience to the squad. A key player for the Zambia women’s national team, Selemani shone during the 2023 COSAFA tournament, where Zambia claimed silver, and was also part of the squad that represented the nation at the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2023.

Pauline Chisomo Zulu is equally decorated, having represented Zambia at the 2024 Paris Olympics and in several COSAFA tournaments. Her contributions were instrumental in Zambia’s 2023 COSAFA silver medal and the 2024 gold-winning campaign.

Record-Breaking Deal

The transfer deal reflects the growing investment in women’s football in Zambia. Selemani’s transfer fee is valued at K130,000, while Zulu’s deal is worth K170,000. The latter includes a cash payment of K70,000 and an in-kind component valued at K100,000, granting Elite Ladies access to Sunset Stadium facilities.

Debut Match Looms

Fans of ZANACO Ladies will not have to wait long to see the duo in action. Both players are expected to make their debut this weekend when ZANACO Ladies take on league leaders ZESCO Ndola Girls in what promises to be a thrilling encounter in Ndola.

With the addition of Selemani and Zulu, ZANACO Ladies have sent a strong message to their rivals, positioning themselves as serious contenders for the title in the second round of the season.
