Zanaco Finalizes Agreement with Promising Malawian Midfielder
Sensational Zanaco, a team in the MTN Super League, has successfully acquired the talents of Malawian National Team midfielder, Robert Saizi.
As reported by Malawian media outlet The Times, Zanaco made a financial commitment of K13.5 Million (approximately K211,764 ZMW) to Bangwe All Stars, a premier team in Malawi, to secure Saizi’s services.
In addition to this transfer fee, Zanaco will provide the player with K14 Million (about K219,607 ZMW), and Saizi will receive an extra K42,352 ZMW, constituting 20 percent of the transfer amount.
Bangwe All Stars owner, Mphatso Jika, confirmed this transaction in an interview with The Times, expressing optimism about Saizi’s development in Zambia.
Haroon Cassim, the Director of Global Sports Agency and Saizi’s representative, disclosed that Zanaco faced competition from a Norwegian team for Saizi’s services but emerged successful.
Cassim praised Zanaco for their professional handling of the negotiation process, stating that Saizi is set to receive a signing-on fee of approximately K14 million and a lucrative monthly salary.
Saizi, who previously joined Bangwe from PFM in a K3 million deal at the beginning of the last season, will now reunite with fellow countryman Chawanangwa Kaonga, who joined Zanaco from Silver Strikers the previous year.
In a noteworthy development, Saizi’s impressive performances in the TNM Super League earned him a trial invitation from Saudi Arabian second-tier side Al Faisaly in September of the preceding year.
