Zambia’s High Commission Wishes Copper Queens Luck for Paris 2024 Qualifier
Zambia’s High Commissioner to Ghana, Daniel Mahongo, led a delegation of embassy staff on a visit to the Copper Queens’ camp at the Accra City Hotel.
The purpose of their visit was to convey their support and best wishes to the Zambian women’s national football team ahead of their pivotal 2024 Paris Olympics Qualifiers third-round, first-leg match against Ghana.
The delegation spent time with the players, coaches, and support staff, offering words of encouragement and solidarity as the team prepared for their upcoming challenge.
During the visit, High Commissioner Mahongo emphasized the significance of the match for both teams, highlighting the importance of sportsmanship and fair play.
He expressed confidence in the Copper Queens’ ability to perform at their best and achieve a positive result. The embassy staff echoed his sentiments, applauding the team’s dedication and hard work in representing Zambia on the international stage.
The Copper Queens, under the guidance of head coach Bruce Mwape, expressed gratitude for the visit and the support they have received from the Zambian Mission in Accra.
