The Zambia Tennis Association (ZTA) has officially launched the Ladies Trials for the highly anticipated All Africa Games in Ghana 2024 at Nkana Tennis Club in Kitwe. The opening day showcased intense competition and promising performances from the participants.Margaret Chewe displayed dominance on Day 1, securing impressive victories over Violet Mulenga (6/1, 6/2) and Patricia Sazambile (6/2, 6/1). In another notable match, Isabel Chisongo triumphed over Margaret Kabanshi with a commanding scoreline of 6-2, 6-4. Christabel Chisongo, despite facing a tough battle against Margaret Kabanshi resulting in a 5/7, 5/7 loss, bounced back with a convincing 6/1, 6/0 win against Patricia Sazambile.A rain delay temporarily interrupted the match between Maggie Mutale and Violet Mulenga, with the score suspended at 6/0, 1/2.These trials are a crucial platform for female tennis players striving to secure a spot and move closer to representing Zambia at the All Africa Games in Accra, Ghana, scheduled from March 8th to 24th, 2024.
