Zambia Suffer 7-0 Defeat To Morocco At Futsal AFCON

The Zambia National Futsal Team suffered a heavy 7-0 defeat to hosts Morocco in their latest outing at the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Futsal tournament.

Morocco controlled the encounter to secure a convincing victory over the Zambian side, leaving the Copper-funded futsal team with work to do as they continue their campaign at the continental competition.

The result presents a difficult outing for Zambia against one of Africa’s leading futsal nations, with the hosts taking advantage to record a seven-goal win.

For the Zambian team, attention will now turn to regrouping and assessing the performance as the technical bench looks to prepare the players for their remaining challenges in the tournament.

The AFCON Futsal competition brings together some of the continent’s top teams, providing Zambia with an opportunity to gain experience and test themselves against strong opposition on the continental stage.

Following the loss in Morocco, the team will be hoping to respond in its next fixture and put in a stronger performance as the tournament progresses.
