Zambia Positioned in Pot 2 for 2025 AFCON Draw
The Zambia National Team has been placed in Pot Two for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers draw, scheduled for Thursday, 4th July 2024 (today).
Chipolopolo shares Pot Two with Cape Verde, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Gabon, and Equatorial Guinea. The rest of the pot includes Benin, Angola, Uganda, Namibia, Mozambique, and Madagascar.
The continental heavyweights in Pot One include Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Tunisia, Algeria, Cameroon, Mali, South Africa, DR Congo, and Ghana. Zambia will be grouped with one of these teams.
The draw will take place in Johannesburg today at 14:30 local time (12:30 GMT). A total of 48 African nations will participate to determine who qualifies for the 35th edition of this prestigious event.
