Zambia Eliminated from 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Following Loss to Morocco

Zambia’s journey in the 2023 TotalEnergies Cote D’Ivoire Africa Cup of Nations has come to an end after a 1-0 defeat against Morocco.
Hakim Ziyech secured the only goal of the game in the 37th minute, capitalizing on a parry by Zambia’s goalkeeper Lawrence Mulenga from an Achraf Hakimi cross.

The Chipolopolo boys exit the tournament with two points from three matches, consisting of two draws and one defeat. In terms of statistics, Morocco recorded 19 shots at goal, with 7 on target, while Zambia managed 11 shots, with only 2 on target.
