Zambia Army Honors Africa Netball Cup Winners
The Zambia Army has recognized and rewarded the eight players from the Green Buffaloes Netball Club who were instrumental in securing the Zambia National Netball team’s victory at the Africa Netball Cup in Gaborone, Botswana.
The Zambia Netball team, featuring players from the Green Buffaloes, emerged triumphant in a thrilling final against Namibia, winning 57-55 and claiming their maiden Netball Africa Champions title. Captain Beauty Nakazwe led the team to this historic victory.
In recognition of their outstanding achievement, each player from the Green Buffaloes has been awarded K5,000, and the Army has also fully reimbursed their expenses for the duration of their stay in Botswana for the tournament.
Lieutenant General Dennis Alibuzwi expressed commendation for the team’s remarkable success, emphasizing that their achievement is a source of pride not only for the Zambia Army but for the entire nation. The recognition and rewards aim to celebrate the dedication and excellence of the players in bringing glory to Zambia through their accomplishments in netball.
