“We Want to Win Everything,” Says Morocco Coach

Morocco coach Walid Regragui has stated his team’s ambition to win their remaining matches and finish at the top of their group with a perfect record. He made the declaration during a pre-match press briefing held at Ndola’s Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

Despite this firm objective, Regragui revealed he plans to rest 80% of the players who featured in the recent 5-0 victory over Niger. However, he expressed full confidence that the players called upon to replace them will deliver a winning performance.

“We have come here already qualified, we know what we have to do, we are Morocco, and we have come here to win because we are Morocco,” he said.
Regragui said he expected Zambia to fight hard before their fans and preserve their stature of winning at home regularly.
“I know Zambia wants to win to confirm their stature in Africa. I know that it will be a good game tomorrow,” he said.
Regragui said “We have had a difficult time; we played a game on Friday and had a long flight. I will rest 80% of the players; others like Hakimi have games in Europe and need to recover. However, the players who will come will be competitive.”
Already qualified Morocco has 18 points while Tanzania lies in second with 10 points with Zambia third on six points with Congo lying at the bottom with one point.
