The Teen Cranes, Uganda’s U17 Women’s National Team, have touched down in Lusaka, Zambia, ahead of the first leg of the U17 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers against Zambia on Sunday, May 12th, 2024. The team received a warm welcome at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport by officials from the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) and the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA).

Mr. Andrew Siame, Head of Administration at FAZ, led the reception committee, joined by Ms. Lillian Mangubi, Team Liaison Officer, and Paul Mukatabala, FUFA National Teams Officer. The Teen Cranes were greeted with enthusiasm and hospitality, setting a positive tone for their stay in Zambia.

Upon arrival, the team checked into the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel in Lusaka, where they will be accommodated for the duration of their time in Zambia. The hotel provides a comfortable and conducive environment for the players and coaching staff to focus on their preparations for the upcoming qualifier match.

With high spirits and determination, the Teen Cranes are gearing up for the crucial match against Zambia.
