Zambia’s defensive stalwart, Stopilla Sunzu, has earned recognition by securing a place in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Team of the Week. Sunzu‘s outstanding performance came in the recent match between Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
As the only member of the current Zambian squad who was part of the 2012 AFCON-winning team, Sunzu showcased his defensive prowess in thwarting DR Congo’s attempts to capitalize on a struggling Zambian side.
