Record Winners Zambia Paired with Comoros, Botswana in COSAFA Cup Group D

Zambia’s national football team, the record seven-time COSAFA Cup champions, have been placed in Group D for the 2025 edition of the regional tournament, where they will face Comoros and Botswana.
The competition is scheduled to take place from June 4–15 in Bloemfontein, South Africa, marking its first-ever hosting in Mangaung.
The Chipolopolo enter the tournament with an unmatched legacy, having claimed the title more than any other nation—seven times—edging out Zimbabwe’s six triumphs. Their consistent dominance in the competition makes them one of the most formidable sides to watch.

Adding to the excitement, Morocco—the 2022 FIFA World Cup semi-finalists—will make their debut as guest participants, competing in Group C against Madagascar and Eswatini. Their inclusion has elevated the tournament’s prestige, drawing significant attention from football fans across the continent.
