PS Kawana Gears Up to Support Copper Queens Olympic Campaign
Ministry of Information and Media Permanent Secretary Thabo Kawana visited Football House to help spread the excitement for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. During his visit, Kawana conferred with FAZ General Secretary Reuben Kamanga and congratulated him on the Copper Queens’ Olympic qualification.
The outspoken permanent secretary showed his support by donning the popular KoPa kit. Kawana emphasized the significance of the Copper Queens’ achievement and encouraged national support as the team heads to Paris.
Zambia will kick off its Paris 2024 Olympic Games journey on July 25 against the United States of America, followed by a match against Australia three days later. The final group match will be against Germany on July 31 in St. Etienne.
The Copper Queens’ Olympic campaign has garnered national attention, and Kawana’s visit underscores the government’s commitment to supporting the team as they aim for glory on the global stage.
