Prison Leopards Face Uphill Battle to Avoid Relegation
Frederick Chilukutu, the Commissioner General of the Zambia Correctional Service, has urged the technical bench of Prison Leopards Football Club to ensure the team avoids relegation.
He emphasized that the service has made significant investments in the team and expects both the technical bench and players to elevate their performance.
These remarks were delivered by Zambia Correctional Service Deputy Commissioner General Kuyomba Bwalya during the week 27 super league fixture between Prison Leopards and FC Muza.
Despite the win, where Prison Leopards beat FC Muza 3-2, the team still faces the risk of relegation, currently sitting second from bottom with 26 points and seven games remaining in the season.
In an interview with ZNBC Sport, FC Muza Coach Mathews Njobvu attributed the loss to a red card given to their top striker, Andrew Phiri.
Meanwhile, Lameck Banda, the former FC Muza Coach now in charge of Prison Leopards, expressed that the win has boosted the players’ motivation as they strive to avoid relegation.
